WHO WE ARE
ABOUT us
The Fr. William Corby Division is a ministry of St. Mary of Sorrows Parish in Fairfax, and is one of the most active Hibernian Divisions in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Historic St. Mary of Sorrows Church in Fairfax Station was built by Irish immigrants working on the Orange and Alexandria Railroad in the mid-1800s.
About aoh
The Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH) is the oldest Catholic fraternal organization officially formed in New York's St. James Church in 1836. Today's AOH with its motto "Friendship, Unity, and Christian Charity" is the most recent link in the evolution of ancient societies. Today we stand as the largest Irish society in the world with Divisions in Ireland and 49 of the United States.
AOH has been at the forefront for issues concerning the Irish, such as; Immigration Reform; economic Incentives both here and in Ireland; and a peaceful and just solution to the issues that divide Ireland. The AOH also sponsors many programs associated with promoting our Irish Heritage
