A Little Upscale Entertaining

A side of Smoked Irish Salmon served with sliced brown bread, sliced cucumbers, and butter is a classy backup to a social event. Try the following as an accompaniment to these morsels:
 
Black Velvet

Ingredients:
One (1) bottle champagne, 
One (1) chilled Guinness 
 
Directions:
Mix the champagne with an equal quantity of Guinness, or to taste, in tall glasses. Drink immediately, while very bubbly.

Blas Meala

Ingredients:
1/2 glass freshly squeezed orange juice 
1 teaspoon honey
1 measure of Irish whiskey
Lightly whipped heavy cream
Toasted oatmeal flakes
 
Directions:
Heat the orange juice to just below boiling point, add the honey and stir. Pour into a glass, add the whiskey and top with a layer of whipped cream. Sprinkle with freshly toasted oatmeal flakes and serve. Drink hot.
